The Oscars were on tonight and there were some stunning gowns on the red carpet. Above are my top 6 of the night! On a side note, in case you haven't seen or heard Kate Winslet won her 1st Oscar for her performance in "The Reader". She is my favorite actress!

Jennifer Aniston looks stunning as usual. Natalie Portman's fuchsia dress was to die for... seriously i need to find me some fuchia colored clothes! Cause girl was rockin it! SJP was pure fab-u-losity! Penelope Cruz was my favorite in her vintage Balmain!

Haulage... a little clothes shopping

I went to the mall to get some foundation @ sephora, but wound up spending most of my time at Express. I LOVE Express, most of my wardrobe consists of their clothing (express was actually my first job, as well). I didn't buy a lot cause I've put on some weight lately. I won't go any further on THAT subject. But, i did get some cute pieces, if i don't say so myself!

and p.s.The satin blouse is wayyy more purple than the stupid camera is picking up. It's sort of the true blue/purple color in the Mac Lucky Tom Quad.

Kim Kardashian. I'm really loving her style lately. I find that if i look to a celebrity for inspiration, it's her that i look to. Less than Jennifer Aniston, tho. But enough. Her are 2 looks by her that I LOVE!!!!!!!!!!! And look at those sunglasses.... pure love! I love 70's inspired glassed.

MAC & Hello Kitty Haul

My first makeup haul! Yikes... Okay. I got some Hello Kitty stuff, but let me be honest with you: I wasn't impressed by this collection. Basically what I bought were the only products that appealed to me. BUT.... i wasn't able to get the nail color: On the prowl. Ughh! (cries) It was sold out. I'm gonna try to hunt it down in stores. Other than that i got 1 eye shadow and 1 brush.

FOTD: "Purple Spice..."

It's FRIDAY!! And the boyfriend is deejay-ing at The Blue Monkey in Hollywood tonight, and i wanted to spice up the eyes. I added a major dramatic cat eye liner, and some black liner on my waterline. But i didn't want an overly shimmery, disco ball look, so i just applied some shimmer to the crease. This is what i ended up with.

Globes, actually. It turns out that her entire look was by NARS.

Eyes:

Base: Using finger, apply Corfu Cream Eyeshadow to the eyelid, blending to a fresh finish.

Lid: Sweep the golden champagne side of Alhambra Duo Eyeshadow with Large Dome Eyeshadow Brush.

Apply Bengali Single Eyeshadow with Small Dome Eyeshadow Brush to upper lash line blending upwards to outer corner of eyelid to give subtle definition.

Liner: With Small Eye Contour Brush, deepen upper lash line with Night Clubbing Single Eyeshadow, and lightly define lower lash line

Tip: Night Clubbing is the perfect shade to create a smokey eye - it gives a rich sparkle at the lash line with undertones of green and gold.

Apply China Blue Single Eyeshadow with damp Push Eyeliner Brush close to edge of upper lash line.

Tip: Navy colors make the whites of the eyes pop.

Curl eyelashes with NARS Eyelash Curler and apply two coats of Black Orchid mascara.

Cheeks:

Apply Desire Blush to apple of the cheeks using the Loose Powder Brush.

Tip: Use a powder brush to apply blush. A bigger brush makes a much softer wash of color.

Lips:

Apply Marnie Lipliner to subtly define lip.

With Retractable Lip Brush, apply Tutti Fruitti Lipstick to center of lip and blend outwards.

Mix Boogie Nights Lipgloss with Greek Holiday Lipgloss and layer over lipstick for additional shine and sparkle.

Complextion:

Apply NARS Brightening Serum to skin to hydrate and make it glow.

Apply a small amount of Firming Foundation to center of face and press gently into the skin blending outwards.

Using Flat Concealer Brush, apply Concealer under eyes to brighten and conceal darkness.

Using the Botan Brush, apply Loose Powder to set foundation and buff to a smooth finish.

To warm the complexion, using the Bronzing Brush, apply Laguna Bronzer to cheekbones, blending towards the temple.
