FOTD: Concert Series - "Blackend Red"

I'm back! Hi, everyone :) Okay so this is gonna be the first of a concert series that I'm gonna do. The Kylie Minogue concert is just around the corner (Oct. 4th) and I really want to look my best! So I'm gonna try out a few looks, post the ones that I like on here, so that when the day comes I'll already have a "face" plan.

And, boy, do I need a plan when it comes to some things.

Okay heres the backstory: The last concert i went to, John Legend, I was soooo scatterbrained that day, that i really ended up looking like crap! With the fact that I was soo excited to see him perform, add that the time I got out of work i had only a small time frame from when the concert was gonna start to when we had to leave the house. Also with the fact that I was gonna be close to the stage, so YES i had a crap makeup of the day, and that made me a little self-conscious. (like he was paying any attention to ME anyway... rofl)

Las Vegas Pics!

I just wanted to share some of my Las Vegas trip with ya'll! I do have to admit that this trip wasn't for like vacation-y. We went for the evo competition. My bf is a huge gamer, and since its an international comp, we couldnt miss it. So don't anythiing "big", just some pics. 7 of us went and on one day i was able to go with the other 4 and hit up the outlets, so if a few i show my, though VERY small, haul!

FOTD: "Purple Pirate"

Long time no see.
I know I've been away for a while but im back now. its just life, it gets in the way sometimes. Here's a look that I wore today. Today i wore my urban outfitters "Pirates Arrr Cool" tee. The pirtate and the writings are purple, hence the purple look i went for today.
In the midst of all the makeup i stumbled upon a great combo: My lavendar anna sui lipstick with a benefits lipgloss called "kiss you". The colors looked soo similar in the tube that i decided to see how it looked on, and BAM.... magic! Oh and false lashes ARE optional.... Hope u like

Collective haul - Mac & more...

Sorry about being M.I.A. lately. It's just life sometimes gets in the way. It been super stressful lately and I rarely have time to log on and stuff. Also I'm still doing project 10 pan, but when I'm stressed..... I buy stuff. So this is some stuff that i picked up on my travels lately.

The lipstick is from a swap! I traded my SIB, 4x (maximum) used Blankety for her "un-boxed", almost half used Ahoy, There! :( :( :( I have the worst luck w/swapping! But, that another story.......

First off, I found this Christian Dior brush in a Shiseido on Sunday. And let me tell you, this brush is AWESOME! By far my most soft and high quality! I have a mixture of brushes ranging from Mac (of course) to Elf. But, this brush blows them all away. I'm kicking myself for not getting the large blush brush! And the price was awesome! They're having a 50% on all CD products! I'm gonna try to go this wknd, hopefully the sale is still going on!

I also started my first Mac quad and to be honest... i hate it. I'm not really digging "pan" form. I much prefer the original. Yes, the price is better and it's much more convienient.
I also got 1 blush and 1 highlight powder. And let me tell you... i luvv them! I usually never buy Mac "face" products cause my skin tends to react. But, the blush is beautiful... the color is outstanding! I have nothing like it! My Nars blushes are gonna be jealous cause it may be my new fav!!!

A new favorite! I mixed Nars "Harlow" and ontop of that i put Mac "Fashion Scoop" cremesheen. the result was just Too cute!______
NOTD: a concoction of 2 polishes. I think i will call it "green-ito".... hehe. I think it came out pretty good.

Here are a few additional things i managed to pick up this week. Most is from the Sephora sale. The polish is from a OPI manufacturer that my aunt & I happened stumbled upon. And since my aunt is a working makeup artist we were able to get a real good discount on the stuff. And had i not only had cash on me, i would of got a TON more stuff. Cause opi is my fav polish brand. I was just happy that i got the "rapid dry" for a real good price. It usually retails for over $10 bucks... yikes! i know. I also shopped at All Cosmetic Wholesale. Youtube guru's Michele1218 & Mel for Makeup both swears by it, so i decided to get some things from there. I got the Smashbox gel liner, Mac lipgelee, and the Anna Sui lipstick. yes, i decided to jump on the lavendar l/s bandwagon. I'm not sure if its for me, yet, but hey i only paid $2.99 for it.

Collective Haul and some major venting!

Here is some stuff I've picked up randomly throughout the week. I talked about it a bit in my previous post. It's not much, i know. Cause like I've been saying: i need to SAVE FOR VEGAS. Uggggh! If my bf finds out, i think he's gonna really gonna postpone the trip. We're supposed to leave this Friday. And what makes it worst is that i have stuff coming in on Wed & of course he's not going to work that day. Yikes!! So when up ups shows up..... i don't think I'll be able to hide it. Should i tell just him now, and save me the trouble? He really likes us (me) to save cause when I'm there, and yes just ME, i go BERSERK. I can't resist those outlets. Can anyone?? Here's the breakdown: On the way, we stop at indoor mall, the one next to the Buffalo Bills thing-y. And then before we leave we go to the outdoor outlet place. I dunno. I really want to go in April cause it won't be as hot as it usually is, when we go, in July. I'll see what happens.... I'm in a bad spot. Whatever, now on to the goodies :)

I went shopping this weekend. I went mainly for clothes, but since i broke my eyelash curler, i had to get another one. So i went over to the Nars counter, and i bought, then i went over to Sephora. I even stopped at the MALet's just say it was a bad weekend for my wallet. I even had to stash the makeup bags into my bags of clothes, so my bf won't see them. I'm supposed to NOT be spending & SAVING for vegas....

Sugarsweet & Cremesheen Haul

My Sugarsweet lippies came today. And i was both delighted and disappointed. Firstly, i was happy cause the colors are as cute as i though they'd be. I love the packaging. BUT then the disappointment kicked in. These things are TINY. In comparison to the lipglass's, the difference is 1 oz. But, you'd think for the extra 3 + change your shelling out, you'd get more product! I guess not.

YAY! It's here. I've haven't been this excited since the Chill collection. It came sooner than i had anticipated (for some reason i thought it was going to be released in April), lame on my part. I know. But I placed my order today, so it should be here shortly.
As i said in the last post, i got most of them, expect one: Tasty. It was just "eh" to me! If i see some swatches that impress me then i might get it. But it wasn't a must have. I really want Aquavert & Sugarshot e/s but I'm gonna wait on see some swatches to see if their worthwhile buy.

Also I bought another cremesheen lippy. I'm in love w/the formula, it's my favorite!

MAC & Hello Kitty Haul

My first makeup haul! Yikes... Okay. I got some Hello Kitty stuff, but let me be honest with you: I wasn't impressed by this collection. Basically what I bought were the only products that appealed to me. BUT.... i wasn't able to get the nail color: On the prowl. Ughh! (cries) It was sold out. I'm gonna try to hunt it down in stores. Other than that i got 1 eye shadow and 1 brush.
