FOTD: Concert Series - "Blackend Red"

I'm back! Hi, everyone :) Okay so this is gonna be the first of a concert series that I'm gonna do. The Kylie Minogue concert is just around the corner (Oct. 4th) and I really want to look my best! So I'm gonna try out a few looks, post the ones that I like on here, so that when the day comes I'll already have a "face" plan.

And, boy, do I need a plan when it comes to some things.

Okay heres the backstory: The last concert i went to, John Legend, I was soooo scatterbrained that day, that i really ended up looking like crap! With the fact that I was soo excited to see him perform, add that the time I got out of work i had only a small time frame from when the concert was gonna start to when we had to leave the house. Also with the fact that I was gonna be close to the stage, so YES i had a crap makeup of the day, and that made me a little self-conscious. (like he was paying any attention to ME anyway... rofl)

So here's the first look:

Products used for the look.
(Sorry, no foundation, concealer, blush, ect. was used)

FOTD: "Purple Pirate"

Long time no see.
I know I've been away for a while but im back now. its just life, it gets in the way sometimes. Here's a look that I wore today. Today i wore my urban outfitters "Pirates Arrr Cool" tee. The pirtate and the writings are purple, hence the purple look i went for today.
In the midst of all the makeup i stumbled upon a great combo: My lavendar anna sui lipstick with a benefits lipgloss called "kiss you". The colors looked soo similar in the tube that i decided to see how it looked on, and BAM.... magic! Oh and false lashes ARE optional.... Hope u like

Marilyn Monroe Contest Entry

Here's my entry for Robyn's (fashionista 514) Marilyn Monroe contest.
I tried my best. But, as you can see I look NOTHING like Marilyn Monroe. So my take will, of course, fail in comparison. I didn't do her famous mole, cause I have my own... :) Also my lips pictured a different shade than in person. THAT is soo annoying. But oh well. I think it still came out like I wanted. But, you can file my hair in the "epic fail" section..... :}

Wish me luck :)

trying to get pose... lame!
the silly faces...

FOTD: "Smoking those Grapes..."

I was going out and I wanted a dramatic look, yet again. I been totally into smokey looks as of late. So i decided to make it a purple one.
My inspiration for this look is from THIS pic of Drew Barrymore I saw on Glamour Land's blog. Thanks girl ;)
Drew is sporting some fierce smokey purple shadow, as you can see. But, honestly, it looks a lot like "Grape" pigment from Mac. Since I don't have that pigment I had to make do with what I had. Which was basically "Smoke Signal" pigment. But, by putting a purple-y-blue shadow on top, it transformed into a more vibrant "purple", instead of the maroon color of th
e pigment. So high five!

Product(s) used:
(eyes)
benefit "r.s.v.p." c/s
mac "smoke signal" pigment
mary kay "copper beach" e/s
l.a. colors "chic" e/s palette - purple/blue color
mac "shroom" e/s
mac "black funk" e/l

mac "plushblack" mascara

(face & lips)
philosphy "supernatural" foundation
BE "mineral veil"
benefit brow zings
mac "just dessert" tricolor l/g

HERE'S ME RIGHT AFTER I FINISHED MY FACE. the hairs not even done yet... yikes....
I need to get me some different bulbs.... i always come out sooo yellow! :{

FOTD: 'Rustic, Steamy Night"

I know the name isn't the inventive or.... pretty for that matter. But, that all I could think of at the time. lol ;)
Anyways, this was tonight's look. I used "Steamy" e/s by Mac, another of my unloved, unused e/s. And let me tell you this "ten pan" thing is super difficult. Lollipop26 is genius to have come up with it. But, I started about a week after she posted, and have had a difficult time ever since. This whole look, aside from a few, consists of products that rarely see the light of day. I hope you like it... ;)

FOTD: "Meet the Browns"

Okay scariness!! I just uploaded my FIRST video ever. It's kinda scary. It was an entry for Angelamarie292 1st contest. I did mine based off her "Meet the Browns" tutorial. My fav tut of her. I did mine kinda on the light side. Which i think will bite me in butt when it comes to her choosing the winner. But, oh well.

Also I had to record it with my lame webcam, cause my bf forgot to change the batteries in my camera. So, all in all, my first try at a live tutorial SUCKED!!! :o(

FOTD: "Taupypurp .. no way"

Hi everyone! So I decided to try out the Anna Sui lipstick gloss that I got. And honestly I am the biggest wuss when it comes to color on my lips. I only either do chapstick, gloss, or once in a blue moon red lips. But then Ever so Rich cremesheen glass came out & everyone pairing it w/Lavender whip. It looked so pretty. So of course by the time I decided to buy the 2, they were SOLD OUT. Of course. Grrrrr. I'm kicking myself cause ESR & Petite Indulgence are the only cremesheen that I DON'T have. But, the latter is whatever to me. I 'd never wear it.
This is a very simple look I know.
And be warned: Silly faces below

Nothing special going on as of late. Just buying a few things here and there. The most notable thing i got was 2 more cremesheens!!! YAY! I don't know if anyone has caught on, but I LOVE THEM. They're my fav. I'm only missing 2 now. I'll find & get them somehow.

But anyways i was watching the movie "Purple Violets". I thought it was really good, except for Selma Blair. I don't really like her as an actress. She sooo "blah". And thought i'll base a look off the title name, and make it an inexpensive look. I tried. Thats about as much as i'm gonna say :)
