Another day, another foundation.

Estée Lauder Double Wear "All-Day Glow" Intensity 3.0

I'm back!! 😀

Thought I might start off with a little something new... And it's a foundation!!! 🎉
For reference I'm oily and sensitive and prone to break outs! Yeesh, I know.  With that being said I've always wanted to try a bb cream-ish product, but, always steered away as I've heard that they don't really "gel" with oily skin types. So enter this gem. Now it is a tad too soon AND I've used it a total of 4 times, BUT, I haven't broke out!

This foundation is light and doesn't feel that heavy on the skin. Coverage is sheer to medium (at most). But it's actually quite good. It also leaves a nice dewy, youthful glow that I quite like. I do have to powder a few hours in (4hr mark) but, that's just personal preference. I'm more of a matte finish type of gal!

I shall use it more and possibly do a FOTD with it. We shall see.

Attempt #1 - Ombre nails

Here is my first attempt at "Ombre" nails. Granted it came out pretty shitty, but Hey I'm a total NOOOB! Now that I think about it, I should have started out with lighter shades so it could mask my monumental mistakes. That will be the next trial.
All in all, it was a good learning lesson, I now know to let the base color, and all the additional colors DRY before I apply the next coat of color.....

The order was: The Color to Watch, then Essie Mesmerize, then Naughty Nautical and lastly  Light my Sapphire

Urban Decay / Mario Badescu

Went to Ulta today, for the first time I might add (yay!) and picked up 2 things that I've been meaning to try out. Now  have only read reviews and such. But I decided that I should give it a go, and whats the worst that can happen....

Maybe I shouldn't say that, cause things could go horribly wrong.
With that being said, I might do a review or an update how they've been working.
And as an f.y.i. my skin is incredibly sensitive, oily, and acne prone... whewwww. Sux to be me I know!!

On another note I have been doing a bit of shopping so I might put together a collective haul. Its going to mainly be clothes, nail polish and some other bits that I am super excited about.

Also I am going to San Diego this weekend to hang out with some friends, I might do some vlogging...

FOTD: Concert Series - "Blackend Red"

I'm back! Hi, everyone :) Okay so this is gonna be the first of a concert series that I'm gonna do. The Kylie Minogue concert is just around the corner (Oct. 4th) and I really want to look my best! So I'm gonna try out a few looks, post the ones that I like on here, so that when the day comes I'll already have a "face" plan.

And, boy, do I need a plan when it comes to some things.

Okay heres the backstory: The last concert i went to, John Legend, I was soooo scatterbrained that day, that i really ended up looking like crap! With the fact that I was soo excited to see him perform, add that the time I got out of work i had only a small time frame from when the concert was gonna start to when we had to leave the house. Also with the fact that I was gonna be close to the stage, so YES i had a crap makeup of the day, and that made me a little self-conscious. (like he was paying any attention to ME anyway... rofl)

So here's the first look:

Jimmy Choo for H &M

After H&M announced Jimmy Choo as the next designer guest collaboration back in June, I’ve been desperately waiting to see what the collection will look like and i've waited to post anything unless I have 'something' for ya'll to see. And alas, some pic(s) have surfaced. I don't know about any of you but I LOVE j.c. I just hate having to shell out the major moolah to buy some shoes and purses! So I when i heard about his line (The limited edition collection will be available from November 14, 2009) i was sompletely stoked! Below are some boots that you better believe is gonna have a spot in my shoe closet!!

What do you all think. Are you as excited as I am for the collection?? And most important will any of you rock these over the knee boot??

Las Vegas Pics!

I just wanted to share some of my Las Vegas trip with ya'll! I do have to admit that this trip wasn't for like vacation-y. We went for the evo competition. My bf is a huge gamer, and since its an international comp, we couldnt miss it. So don't anythiing "big", just some pics. 7 of us went and on one day i was able to go with the other 4 and hit up the outlets, so if a few i show my, though VERY small, haul!

FOTD: "Purple Pirate"

Long time no see.
I know I've been away for a while but im back now. its just life, it gets in the way sometimes. Here's a look that I wore today. Today i wore my urban outfitters "Pirates Arrr Cool" tee. The pirtate and the writings are purple, hence the purple look i went for today.
In the midst of all the makeup i stumbled upon a great combo: My lavendar anna sui lipstick with a benefits lipgloss called "kiss you". The colors looked soo similar in the tube that i decided to see how it looked on, and BAM.... magic! Oh and false lashes ARE optional.... Hope u like

Update + rant!

Hey everyone! Sorry I've been m.i.a. (yet again) but i just recently got back from Vegas and i needed some major time to recover. I had a little too much sun. And to make things worse, before i left I was at Huntington beach for about 3 day prior. Hence, some much needed recovery time.

I did manage to go the CCO. I got a few things. I was a bit disappointed with the selections they had there. I had heard that the cco there is really good... it is vegas for crissakes! I had went there for 1 purpose: "Redhead" Msf. It wasn't there of course. The other 2 were. They had loads in stock of brunette and blonde. I should of got the blonde, but I was a bit down cause they didnt have redhead.

Also I noticed that I'm almost at 50 subscribers! YAY! I'm thinking of doing a contest or a giveaway. Scratch that... it might be a bit premature for a contest. But, I'm definitely gonna do a giveaway. Do you all think its a good idea???

I'll post up my vegas haul in a day or 2. Also I have other important news that'll will be up in a bit! I hope you're all doing well and i'll talk to you soon!!

1. I am a huge reader! I have dozens of books and I've read them all. I joke to my bf that i want to own my library. Reading a book a day is often a daily thing for me. My bf HATES to read. He finds it super boring.
   


2. My boyfriend and I have been together a long time. It will be 9 years, this February. He's the best! He's the yin to my yang.
   


3. After all those years, we finally moved in together last year. This July 24 will mark our one year anniversary of living together.
   


4. I have 1 sister. She's older than I. We looks as different as day and night. Our personalities are just as different, maybe more. Yet we always get along.
   


5. I am a huge dog person. I have 1 dog, her name is Kylie. She turned 5 yrs old this year!! She's my world!
   


6. I want a lot of dogs. Like at least 5! All the same breed as Kylie. It's a hard breed to find, especially one bred as fine as her. But, I will happen one day. I would mate her, but finding a stud has proven super difficult in these last 2 years.
   


7. I first started wearing makeup when I was 16. The first brand ever was Mac. It was really popular in my school, all the girls were wearing it. So I followed suit.
   


8. At 16, I had started to get mild-moderate acne. It wasn't till 17 that I realized that Mac studio fix powder was the issue. It cleared up by the time I was 18. Till last July (2008) I haven't worn a Mac foundation. In August that same year, I started to get realllllly bad acne. Terrible. The pictures would shock you!
   


9. Since the age of 18 I've been really into skin care. My acne in HS traumatized me so bad, that the day if i see a pimple i freak out. I have real sensitive skin to it looks even more terrible. But I have a great routine that my skin loves and works miracles!!
   


10. My dream job would to be a novelist! A good also. To have published and sold in books stores worldwide would be phenomenal! I can only dream!

Collective haul - Mac & more...

Sorry about being M.I.A. lately. It's just life sometimes gets in the way. It been super stressful lately and I rarely have time to log on and stuff. Also I'm still doing project 10 pan, but when I'm stressed..... I buy stuff. So this is some stuff that i picked up on my travels lately.

The lipstick is from a swap! I traded my SIB, 4x (maximum) used Blankety for her "un-boxed", almost half used Ahoy, There! :( :( :( I have the worst luck w/swapping! But, that another story.......

First off, I found this Christian Dior brush in a Shiseido on Sunday. And let me tell you, this brush is AWESOME! By far my most soft and high quality! I have a mixture of brushes ranging from Mac (of course) to Elf. But, this brush blows them all away. I'm kicking myself for not getting the large blush brush! And the price was awesome! They're having a 50% on all CD products! I'm gonna try to go this wknd, hopefully the sale is still going on!

I also started my first Mac quad and to be honest... i hate it. I'm not really digging "pan" form. I much prefer the original. Yes, the price is better and it's much more convienient.
I also got 1 blush and 1 highlight powder. And let me tell you... i luvv them! I usually never buy Mac "face" products cause my skin tends to react. But, the blush is beautiful... the color is outstanding! I have nothing like it! My Nars blushes are gonna be jealous cause it may be my new fav!!!

What's your favourite make up look? Neutral eye, with perfect brows, glossy lips, and glowing skin. Plus tons of mascara on curled lashes with a peach-ish, gold highlighted cheek!

Do you have a beauty vice? Lip products. I love them!! I have more glosses than anything else! If you saw my storage you'd understand! :)

What part of your body do you love? My feet. I think feet really tell you a lot about a person. But, my feet are small and i like to say dainty. And they're one of my MOST complimented part(s) of me!! :)

Who is your beauty icon? Yikes. I never know the answer to this question since they're a few. If you were to ask a modern icon... it would be Jennifer Aniston. Her skin always looks so perfect. She loves to wear subtle makeup that accentuates. Plus, she always rocks the bronzed, gold-y skin!

What beauty product makes you feel instantly sexy? I don't really have a beauty "product" that makes me feel that way. Maybe perfume....?

How do you look after your skin? I'm a strong believer in never sleeping in your makeup! I always wash and moisturize before I sleep. Drink TONS of H2O. Sleep a min of 8 hrs. And try (emphasize the "try") to eat healthy. I have a love/hate relationship w/my skin. It's very sensitive and can only take so much makeup!

What is your signature scent? I have 2. It's a dead tie between the 2. Marc Jacobs for women and "Lovely" by SJP. If they were in a fight .... "Lovely" would probley win! LOL :)

What are your haircare secrets? I don't have any. I hate my hair. I'm barely figuring out how to manage it now at my age! Give me a few years, then ask again. I might have a secret to tell! :)

How do you pamper yourself? Pedicures and bubble baths! Oh, and silk pajamas!

What is your beauty pet peeve? UN-blended foundation, toooooo much blush and unrealistically pale lips... They make me crazy! I don't know what it is....

What would your desert island must haves be? Sunscreen, chapstick , my fav perfume, toothbrush and toothpaste. Just cause i'm deserted doesn't give me the right to have STANK breath :p

Finally, do you have a beauty philosophy? Blend, blend, blend!!!!
